I am hoping to move my teaching to a new level...That Higher Point. I have been interested in incorporating technology into my teaching for years. Each of my 3 children brought about a wave of drought in my technology learning as a teacher. I have gone from being cutting-edge to being out of the loop.
What do I want to learn? Everything! Personally? How to be comfortable putting my thoughts our there for others to analyze and respond to. For me, I know that will be one of the hardest things. Professionally? I need a way to engage, inspire, and help kids who struggle (and don't like) MATH! I have several different web sources that I use, but I'm having an increasingly difficult time tracking how much progress my students are making as well as how to put all of these resources in one place. I am hoping that the wikis will show me the way! And Twitter...I've got one, but not sure what all the hype is about.
